Roadblocks
The job hunt is a little difficult today. I’ve run into a few problems.
First, on one job site specific to my chosen profession (if it still exists) I found a promising job post for a lot of freelance work. Unfortunately, there was no contact information to apply for the position. The site did not have an “apply online” option for this job, nor did it provide an e-mail address. On the company’s Web site, there was no mention of the job at all. Looking through the contact info on the page, it’s difficult to decide where to send my resume as there is no HR department or editing department.
The second problem for today came from CareerBuilder.com. I went to the site to check out jobs and also use my saved cover letters to use as templates to apply for jobs from other sites. I couldn’t access any of it. My anti-virus software (AVG) says that active threats are found on the page. So, it seems that my computer doesn’t want me looking for work today.
